smell at high rpm?

went for a spin in my boys trans am today and i noticed when he brought the rpms up high there would be a nasy smell cant really describe it..but not burning or anything like that.. anyone know whats causeing this and is it normal.

u mean like a wire touching the maniford and manifold burning wire from heat??(theres is no wires touching maniford and it dont smell like burning it only smells funny/nasty when u get on it and bring the rpm up nice and high. also when he floors it on the highway (again high rpm) it will smell nasty.

the smell is just bad! ya it sort of does smell like eggs lol. what does that mean? the smell it comes right into car even with windows up. back seat people smelt it to. it dont last long at all maby as couple seconds.

when you run rich and floor it in a car with a cat converter, it stinks like that.

you see(smell?) it most often with older 4banger cars since they have to floor it all the time..... heh... but it happens to all cat equipped cars eventually.
