Flashing Check Engine Light?!?!?

I thought when a code is stored the Check Engine Light stays lit? On my 88 Iroc, periodically, the CEL will flash - tried counting it once, but it only flashes when I am driving (sometimes) and when I stop, it will stop flashing after about 5 seconds.

Anyone else experience something like this? It doesn't always happen, some days it's fine, other days it starts as soon as I pull out of my driveway, and other days it doesn't happen till after driving 30 minutes.

Very odd......

sounds like the knock sensor maybe got a lil tweak or an electric feed to a sensor is a lil rusty n it read wrong n threw the code on n off... lean condiction for a second with the gas?

Nothing I would worry about unless the car is running funny?
