Somebody Help Please!!!

I have a hard plastic vacuum Line (assuming Heater controls) coming out of the firewall on passenger side going the length of the plenum but is just capped. Anyone know where to plug it in?

Do the controls still work? My guess would be manifold vacuum.

Do you still have the heater control valve installed. I do believe that is where the vacuum line goes to if it comes out of your firewall.

I second this. If you have the heater valve delete than I bet that is what it is. It is nothing serious and you will still get heat. I am with Trickster on this.

I agree Thanks, now after thinking about it The heater control valve is gone.... I thought it controled my shutter inside because my blower motor is blowing strong but air is just trickling out of the vents, any ideas?

IIRC, there are two hard vacuum lines popping out back there... One is long and is for the heater control valve, and the other gets plugged into a vacuum port off of the plenum (TPI).. On my car, it goes into a tee'd check valve that also connects the cruise control to manifold vacuum... (this is the one that controls your vents)

The long one into the control valve is capped and the short one I have yet to trace (Lack of time) But I will trace that one to its origins I do believe it is connected to the plenum though anything else that could cause the the shutters to not fully open... I doesn't seem like it wants to switch between the vent, defroster, and floor also...

Like thirdgen88 has said, the short vacuum line goes to a tee fitting that connects to the plenum just back of the runners on the passenger side and branchs off to the cruise control. There are two ports there and the second one goes to the fuel pressure regulator if I remember correctly.

if its on a speed density setup (you didn't mention which car), the tee will hook to the forward-most port (which is the larger of the three).. The rearward one goes to the map sensor, and the one in the middle goes to the fuel pressure regulator... granted those other two could be swapped, it won't really matter, thats just how its set up from the factory.

Well guys this has to be the dumbest BLEEP BLEEP I have ever seen. aparently the gentleman who owned the car prior to me. Had so heater core issues (obvious by water discoloration on platics heating components under dash). Well instead of correctly removing heater ducting he ripped it out breaking it into a pieces. Then upon reallizing the heater would not work for crap without that in grabbed the pieces and a roll of duct tape YES I SAID DUCT TAPE. anyways taped it all up put on kick panel and called it a day. so I spent this last sunday tearing basically the whole heating ducts out and replacing them with another set I had. I was so mad.....But anyways problem sovled.. Thanks for all the possible solutions guys but we all forgot the idiot factor (check over the previous owners work).
