I strongly recommend you....

change your fuel filter. If you havent done this in a while or ever...i urge you to do this. i have had my maro for 2 years and have never changed it but i dont think the previous owner did either....the thing was rusted on and looked older than my grandma. The car idles better...i didnt think it could. The car is smoother.....like a new car. And i am hoping it will increase my MPG. it only cost about 12.99 at the parts store. Part # G3727 (fram)....double check it anyways.

p.s.- i did my standard mobil 1 (10w-30) and filter oil change at the same time. But it has never felt like this after just the oil change.

Man if my camaro were a rice-rocket all those mods would give me what...easily 50-60 hp!!!

Don't the carbureted cars have 2? I have replaced the one @ the carb, but i've heard, dunno where from, that there is one near the tank.

I always change the filter as part of my major tuneup. I never understand why people say "I did a tuneup, and also replaced the fuel filter."

I do mine every 6 months too. But I buy through a friends commercial account and get the allied (generic fram) for about $2 a piece. Thats real cheap insurance.

I changed my filter as well, a couple weeks back. I also changed the IAC sensor and it idles a lot better now. The IAC wasn't so cheap at about $45 a pop. I tried cleaning the old one, but it was just too fouled with carbon build-up.
