A really stupid question
I know how much you all enjoy answering my stupid questions, and I got another good one for ya. The thing sticking out the intake manifold(?) behind the carb with a vacuum hose on it, it runs into a T, one end runs off along the firewall towards the passenger side, but the other one runs over to the front on the driver's side, and is connected to a T, but the vac line just loops over onto the other end of the T...I'm very confused by this. First off, what is the beginning point called, and what is it supposed to be connected to? Thanks.

Okay, I'm pretty sure my car doesn't and never had cruise control, as there is no switch of any kind for it on the steering column or instrument panel. As for the evap canister, do you mean the big cylander rather than big ball on the front driver's side, with a couple large vacuum hoses coming out of it? I do have one of those and the looped hose is lying right next to it.
