New news from okinawa, now what???
Well I recently bought a 1989 Iroc, with the following.
L98, AUTO, 2.77 BOLT POSI DISC, and BOSE. Point is now I have this "Running" roller 350, that I can put into the Trans Am, or leave the 86 vette, "ran" 350 in the car.
OK here is the break down.
I am gonna keep the T/A, and bring it back!!!! Thats it for that.
Now the 86 motor is a 624 headed, 92,000 mile motor, that now has a new; time chain, oil pump, valve seals, LS1 injectors and seals. The 89 305 intake is ovalled to work, with the 86 heads.
Ok now the '86 motor is in th car, awaiting the intake bolt on and harness......
The new Iroc motor, is complete, running, though the fuel pump seems inop. When squirted with ether it fires right up, no noise or otherwise. No ideas, yet why the IROC sat for 5 years, other than the importing became to much hassle, and/or the fuel pump took a dump.....
The Japanese don't even maintain SKYLINES let alone a camaro....
See past posts about my T/A'S first motor, and why i have 400 invested into two thirdgens on island!!!!!!
Anyhow , should i press on with the vettes motor, or pull it back out and put in the camaro motor.
Either way I owe a friend a TPI set-up, because he paid for the car.
Sorry so long..... I really value all opinions, and will gladly speak volumes, off board, PM, or IM.
shawn
