i just had my car inspected so ill worry about it in 2 years when i have money
i want to hear your opinions before i do this.

If you want your car to be ungodly loud, make a hole in the headers right by heads. My i4 dodge Colt had a hole there and it sounded like my z28 did. heh
(No I do NOT really recommend this. hehe)

i wanted to have open headers but then theres the whole issue with back pressure and burnin valves up. the aerochamber should give me some back pressure.
so what does everyone else think? I NEED OPINIONS

305,
What fuel system /year do you have? If you have a TPI, TBI, or E4ME carb, you'll need the oxygen sensor, and you'll need to keep it as hot as possible.

Cut your muffler off! Yeah that's right, right past the rear axle. Leave the converter alone for now, just cut it after the axle before the muffler and take the muffler off. Try it before you buy something, you'l be suprised, it's the first thing I did when I got my first IROC,HUGE DIFFERENCE. Actualy I missed the " ungodly loud part" After a week or so I got board with that sound to, Soooo I unbolted the intermediate pipe from the cat and left the exhaust right there, No cat back, just an ungutted cat. I got more "Damn that sounds mean" than I can count!

When I was taking mechanics courses in college, there was this guy with a red '89 Z, 305 tpi. And everytime he saw me when he pulled in to park, he'd throw a huge rev. His car sounded like he had a built big block or something. But at idle, it wasn't to loud. One day my friend and I went to his car, and we saw the Camaro in the parking lot. We wanted to see what he had, and looking at his rear end, we noticed that his pipe leading to the muffler was completely blown out!!! We all laughed everytime he'd rev after that. But it did sound good, and loud.
