E- tec vs AFR

I'm still up in the air about which heads I want to get, there are a lot of choices out there, and it's a tough call. But I've made the decision that I'd like to keep the runner vol. fairly small for the sake of bottom end torque, drivability, and fuel economy. Also there are a number of guys out there who are running Vortecs and posting track times that are on par with the 195cc AFRs. So it seems like a 170cc or 180cc inlet runner vol. can't actually be a bad choice.
With that much in mind... putting aside price differences, intake incompatibility, brand loyalty, and guesswork.
Does anyone have any solid test data suggesting the superiority of either of these heads:
E-Tec 170s or AFR 180s?

The combo this will be used on is a 355 with flattop pistons, and a CC XR269HR 218/224* @050 112*lsa (or something very similar) a hi flow TPI base with siamesed runners, and 1-3/4" headers.
This will be for my '85 IROC

Any test data that compares the two directly, either in a road test, dyno, or flow bench is especially appreciated.

As always, thanks for all replies, past present and future.

With either set of heads, my plan would be to get the appropriate base to adapt those to a set of large tube siamesed runners.
Just to clarify that...

I don't know exact flow numbers all I know is that they do flow better, especially when you port them. The real thing with them is your ability to run higher compression and still maintain using pump gas. I have seen up to 11.5:1 compression on 92 octane
