Nascar parts???

Ok, i find this kinda odd but almost possible. This guy said he bought some used nascar parts for his truck? Now this guy is not much of a idiot, but then again everyone can lie. Said he got some brakes and a water pump for his older chevy that he's building? can you really buy used nascar parts??? i would think it's possible, since they would just tear down the engine and such after each race as it is. Plus how cool would it be to have a Dale Earnhardt inc set of valve covers? haha.

Any ways is this dude just lying to everyone or does anyone know of possibly buying this stuff ? said he got it from some site online. The meter is going off, But i know that at open wheel races ( stuff like cart ) they just give all of the car parts to people.

You can buy a whole car if you want...
Probably 150 grand new ready to go, or 20 grand old less engine.

Yes, there are places that sell "NASCAR take-off" parts. There's a local speed shop that has a whole section of that stuff.

Be careful, however, since there are a lot of classes and divisions of NASCAR, and they don't all run on TV on Sunday afternoons.

Now that you think about it, technically most of there stuff is aftermarket parts anywho.
Blocks from GM, Tires from Goodyear, Carbs from Holley, Wheels from Aero, odd & ends from Moroso, etc-etc-etc...
