Anyone with LT4 Hot, ZZ9 or or SLP cams step in....

My question is concerning how your cars reasponded to these cams after installing them. Also, I'd like to know what mods you had on your car at the time of the cam swap?
The reason I ask this is because I am just getting ready to install my LT4 Hot Cam in my 87 IROC this weekend and I was wondering what to expect. My major mods are located in my signature. I also will be installing a 3.42 rear end here soon.

L98 TPI 350 (5.7L)
TH 700R-4 Transmission
Borg Warner 7.75" 9 Bolt Rear End

Current Mods: LT4 Hot Cam, Comp Cams 1.52:1 Roller Rocker Arms, Edelbrock TES 1 5/8" Headers, Hooker 3" Aerochamber Cat-Back System, Performance Resource Chip, Accel Ignition Coil, Cap, Rotor, 8.8mm Wires, K&N Filters, JET TPI Air Foil, All Free Mods, Falken ZIEX Z-Rated Tires.

Best ET (w/o LT4 cam): 14.32 @ 97.7mph
(corrected for elevation)

7.5" 10 Bolt with 3.42s soon to come!

I dont know how well I can really answer this, because I went from the LG4 to a 350 with TPI and the 224/232 SLP cam. What I can tell you is there is no way in hell you can run the hot SLP cam on a stock chip. I messed with stuff here and there and got it somewhat ok, but stock just doesnt cut it. IIRC the LT4 'HOT' cam has intake duration around 218, so it should do much better with the stock chip. We ended up swapping from a pathetic 2.41 rear to a 3.42, and that helped out alot.

I'll agree with madmax. I'm running the same cam. I just pulled the Fastchip for some fixing, and stuck the lowley Hypertech with GM calmap in. It lopes a bit, and smells pretty rich, but it does run. Timing is very conservative compared to the Fastchip. But for now I'm not setting codes.
