Ok, my camaro is pulling winter dutys so, i'm driving it sparing ley, paying attn to every little thing in my car.. I noticed that when i'm in idle, the cars battery charge is around 13 (or middle of gauge) and when i turn on the heat it will drop to 8 (near bottem of gauge.) the car will not die however. I'm just wondering if my alternator could be going out? or mabe my battery? or, is this just normal for my car? I never use the heat in summer so i've never noticed this problem b4.

most cars, my iroc included will show lower reading on the gauge at idle and pick up as the engine speed increased. as long as it jump up around 14 or so at speed i wouldn't worry about it.
