I wanna build up my ignitions system, need some recommendations.

This is an often forgotten part of the car which can help HP and torque ALOT. I'm going to replace almost everything except for the distributor. Here's my list:

Ignition module
Cap & Rotor
Coil
Spark Plugs
Wires

What are your recommendations? I've heard good things about the MSD-6A and the Accel coil, also bosch platinum plugs. Any other good ones? What are your recommendations on wires? And where can i find the best prices?

BTW, I have a '91 RS TBI, which is completely stock. I will be doing dynomax exhaust and open element along with it.

you'll get a differant answer from everyone you ask, but that's what i'd do and use. for wires the next set i buy will be msd, for no real reason. i've used cheap accels, accel 300+, moroso blue max. some cheap solid wires, ac/delcos, beldons, and a lot more and all have worked well. big thing is to keep them off the headers and away from heat.

I'd get the MSD 6AL It's got the built in rev limiter and can save your bacon in the event of a missed shift or something lets go and the rev's skyrocket

My carb getting stuck wide open once made me order the MSD 6AL very quickly . . . nice safety protection, especially with NO2 and a manual.

I have the Crane Hi-6 ignition. It also has the built-in rev limiter like the MSD 6AL. It was an easy install and made quite a difference. I also have an Accel supercoil. Since installing these, I've had zero problems.

I have everyting MSD except for the distributor..

MSD 6AL
MSD cap and rotor
MSD blaster coil
MSD super conductor wires

teh BEST qualitya nd the BEST service...i would recommend them to ANYONE. you wont be sorry if you go with MSD.

as far as spark plugs...forget about the special platinum ones...they are usually nothing more than a marketing scheme..they dont really do anything any better than an SC Delco $.99 would do. not on our cars at least. now if it was an M3 or somthing then maybe.

I was gonna go with regular old AC Delco plugs for my crate engine, but I couldn't find the ones that GM recommended ANYWHERE, so I went with the AC Delco Rapidfires. they work well for me. a coupel buddies have them and they love them.
