PCV Valve issues

When i start up my new motor, everything is fine, then once it reaches operatinog temp, i hear a high pitched "whine" or "sqeal" Not super loud but it seemed to come from the base of the tbi, so i felt the hoses and the pcv hose seemed to be the most vibration, as soon as i pulled the pcv valve out of the valve cover, the sound stops, if i put it in it starts right back up. Any ideas on how ot get it to stop? I have some comp cams polymer valve covers with out actual baffles but i have some milodon grommets with a small cross at the botom and then some flaps around that crossbar, kind of like a circle cut into fourths, but with the straight parts of each slice not attached, only the round parts. anyway not sure if that helped, but has anyone experienced this phenomenon before?

THanks,
Mike

Buy a new PCV for $1.89 at Murray's. If that doesn't solve it, oh well. Maybe you just got a noisy PCV.

That happened to me last summer. Turns out the hose from the PCV valve to the throttle body would collapse, causing the whistling noise. I bought $1 worth of new tubing down at the local auto parts store and it hasn't made the noise since.

Hope your fix is that simple!

Thanks for the input guys, i'll definitely try the new hose, but i have tried two different pcv valves with no change (one stock type, one "breather" looking type). ANyway, i'll letcha know what happens, this isnt' one of the things keeping me from getting the car off the jack stands and on the road, i have to figure out my new pheonix injector so i can bleed the brakes, then hopefully have the car on the road for the first time since august (my fiancee just refers to it as the "junk in the garage". Not for long....hehe.
