Need help with my brakes! Stat!
I'm taking off my rear axle to swap with another. It's a drum to drum swap so that's the easy part. The problem is I have taken off every nut and bolt except for the brakelines. I cannot disconnect the E-cables or the main brake line. I don't know if the parts are too rusted or I'm approaching it wrong. Can either of these be disconnected without screwing up the parts? These are the last two things holding the axle on, HELP! Thanks.

i usually just unbolt the backing plates from the axle tubes, then you don't have to mes with brake lines or e brakes.

Lots of WD-40, wait a bit, lots more WD-40... then try. It should help penetrate the rust. I don't know about the e-brake cables (never disconnected mine) but the brake hoses should give after some lubricating. Make sure you're turning them the correct direction (I'm not kidding, I've done that a few times... "WHY WON'T THIS COME OFF???? Oh...").
