Used Callies crank and Carillo rods

Hi,
I've been looking at a stripped engine combo which was used for GT racing. It has a Rodeck alu 400 block with a 350 crank,377ci I believe. The block is fine but I would like some help with the crank and rods.I would like to know whether these are still usable. The crank has been ground +.010 on the main bearings and +.020 on the big ends. Will this affect the coating put on it new and the strength? The crank is a Callies stealth 4340.With the rods, they are Carillo 4340.Do they have a specific life on them? Both of these items have done 1200 miles in a GT race car(about 630hp).I could do with knowing whether these items would be usable in a good street engine(500hp+).Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Neil.

If the crank was nitraded and ground it may have gone through. You can have it treated again to make it like new. Not too sure on the rest of your questions. That stuff is very good quality stuff i think a bit over kill for a street engine.

The thing about buying used high-dollar race car parts is, if they were in good enough condition to re-use, they'd be re-using them instead of buying new high-dollar ones. They might be fine, but then again, they might only last 200 more miles before failing catastrophically.

I would certainly not buy stuff like that to put in a motor that I depended on to get to work and otherwise transport me. A pure weekend toy, maybe; daily driver, no way.

The car is only going to be a weekend toy if I'm honest. How much does the heat treatment cost by the way?
Thanks Neil.
