Oil Pressure Guage pegged?
I have checked the boards and not really found enough info.
My oil pressure gauge when the car is idleing is usually almost to the last mark ( i think thats 60 psi?) and whenever i give the car any type of gas, the needle gets burried. can somone tell me how to check if the guage is correct? and what i should do abuot it?

Sounds like your sending unti has decided to retire.
You can either go out and buy a mechanical gauge, and go to all the hassle of hooking it up, and discover that your sending unit is bad, then gpo buy a sending unit and replace it; or just jump directly to buying the sending unit, and be done with it.

Are you sure that the unit just above the oil filter is the sender and not the sensor for the fuel pump relay?
If I recall correctly, the sender is Right next to your distributor. Shouldnt be difficult to swap out either.

so if my sending unit is bad that just means that my gauge was wrong? and this fixes the gauge? and i don't have to worry about my engine having been damaged from high oil pressure?
