might help if you tell us what type of pistons youre running.....most of the time companies give an approx. ratio with certain chamber sizes.

let me reword this:
is it a STOCK bottom end? i have seen cast flat tops go at 8.4:1 all the way to 10:1 on ebay.

Ok, that makes things a BIT easier. is it a third gen block? on the main page, under tech data, all the stock compression ratios are listed.
As for the cam, a converter stalling at 2400 could support a cam like the Xe274h or similar grind from crane, lunati, isky, etc. Thats if you are going hyd. flat tappet. If hydraulic roller is in your mind, a Xe276hr or similar grind is doable. I would want to run a cal like either of those on 2.73 gears, however. 3.73 or so is what i would use. Maybe even 3.4x (whatever it was). However, as you probably know, dont select a camshaft to meet your stall and gears, its typically the other way around. you choose stall and gears to suit your cam. And you choose a cam that will best compliment your heads and desires.

I realize the tech data is there but stock this car came with dish pistons with a 305 I am going to a 350 with flat tops. Do you know how much the stock pistons are in the hole at top dead center. So far I dont like the cr I am coming up with on these 58cc heads a little over 11:1.....I bit much for pump gas and cast iron heads I would think....

I was referencing the 350. What is the 350 coming from? and is the stock bottom end you referenced "stock" with that motor.
