single fan not working on camaro. Help !!!!!! Getting Warm in the South

The fan on my Camaro is not working without the ac on.It is a single fan system. I posted earlier and was told to replace the sensor, today I ran into this problem. I checked on the passenger side head today and found a plug where you say the sensor goes( no sensor brass plug that looks factory). I tried to run down wires to where the sensor should be and only found one unplugged wire, the only problem is that the bundle only contains one wire. The plug end looks nothing like the plug on the sensor.
Could the previous owner have cut the wire and plug off and if so does any one have a pic or wiring diagram for that area and what the wires should look like[like origin of the wiring that goes to that sensor, routing of wires and possible a good place to get more wire and a replacement plug ( junkyards around this area usually cut all wires that go to the engine when pulling the engine out)]

Thanks Jody

temporary fix.. find the fan relay near the brake booster.. find the green wire running into it, short it to a ground and the fan will run long as the key is in the run position...

I have the same car (auto tranny) same problem. Don't buy the sensors @ autozone, pepboys or any mass-market place like that. Go thru a chevy dealer-or something-just make sure you get a certified Gm part. those are built to fit 1000 applications youre better off with something from the factory. its worth the money.
