easy way to check if alt is failing?

well guys i got the feeling the my alternator is screwed, when i'm driving my lights and my dash will dim for a bit then get bright again.

is there an easy way to check?

They probably dont have that in Canada...I guess...

hmm thanks guys, i've also been getting some sqeaking noises that it hought was a belt.

i guess i'll cehck it tommorow morning

When i had my v6 i had a squeaking i thought was a belt but i replced the belts and it was still there. Turned out to be the altenator bearing

well the alternator in this thing sure isn't new, i know its from a junkyard. might just be worth it to get a new one
