Camaro LG4 running rough at idel
I have a 1987 Camaro with the LG4 (305), and I will come up to a stoplight in overdrive and it will strat running very rough. But if I put it in neutral it will be running smooth. I have replaced the dist. cap and rotor button and when I get payed I'm going to try to get spak plugs and wires. But anything else that I can try? Thanks.

Mine used to do this when the transmission was warm. It could be that the torque converter is not unlocking when it is supposed to and maybe it is causing the rpms to get real low when it is in gear?

Thanks A member on chevytalk.org told me the same thing so I guess I'm going to save up for a Torq Converter.

You might want to check the torque converter release switch first...

Thats a slightly dif. problem than what I have, but where is the Release Swich at? And my RPMs are at specs (acording to the emissions decal on the hood) witch is 500 in DR and 750 in Netural/Park. And it is at 500 when it is running rough. I don't want to sound like I don't beleave you but I just checked the price of a new T.C. and it is $120.00 from Auto Zone so I want to make sure there is no other possabilty befor I spend that much money.
