Electric Speedo, what years????
Alright guys, i want to do a 4th gen Console swap. But i have been told by some that the 86 was mechanical and then by others it was electric.
My main source is TaCreasionsUSA, they says that 86+ had electric speedo, as in this quote,

Thanks in advance,
Shane

All 89 and earlier Camaros & 85 and earlier Firebirds use a mechanical speedometer drive unit, while all other 3rd gens use an electric speedometer drive unit.
Thanks in advance,

From: out of my mind; be back in 5 minutes....
Car: 1989 Firebird Formula
Engine: Internal Combustion
Transmission: Completed
Axle/Gears: ones that turn.
86 and up 'birds with gauges had electrically driven speedos.
The few 86 and 87 'birds that had the dumbass lights instead of gauges were still cable driven.
