The LOL got me! LOL!
Wiggle, twist, push, etc., lol. As long as it's supposed to be a direct replacement, it'll go on. But sometimes the aftermarket makers designs aren't quite as precise as the originals, so it takes a little persistence to make it fit. But it probably will.
Mine wasn't Accel (LOL, ok?), but it seemed like it was never gonna go on! I'd given up, but then I thought, no, this has to fit! So I gave it one more try, and I got it. But GEEZ it was frustrating--and comical, LOL!

LOL, I been there too. I cussed, hit, and kicked my Accel cap before it ever went on. It seemed like I could get one side down but the other side would not fit. Finally got it though. Just keep working with it.
