Accel takes out tach at 4000rpms +
note this is digital dash. anyone have issues with adding a accel
stock replacement super coil and hei (50,000) volts causing the tach to not function over 4000 rpms? seems fine until the r's come up then goes to 0001 rpms. then comes back to life at lower rpms. i was told to disconnet the filter from coil to tach. have not yet done that. comments?

Yeah, I had the same thing happen to me. At first I thought the coil was defective, but the replacement did it as well. I had to remove my tach filter. Mine was a 1/2" diameter by 2" tall cylinder attached to the drivers side firewall behind the distributor. I removed it and spliced the wires together and haven't had a problem since.
