car cuts out with gas

it seems it happens more often in 4th and 5th gear but whenever i give it any gas, whether alot or little, the car seems to be cutting out quite frequently. i put in some injector cleaner, that didnt seem to help.

anyhting i can do to test the injectors? can i have it idle and watch the fuel flow from them with the air cleaner off?

also could it be a bad sparkplug not sparking?

please help

Have you changed your fuel filter at all? Sometimes they can cause wierd problems like that.

Nah if you changed it only 5 months ago im pretty sure that wouldnt be the problem. What about checking out the ignition to make sure everythings firing properly?

i popped off the cap and i sanded the tip of the rotor so it makes good contact again. - still no good

only thing left is spark plugs?

and if worst case.. fuel pump

but im starting to notice, maybe its only happening in 5th gear, and if that is so.. that would be bad tranny trouble huh?

maybe the fifth gear teeth are broke or something?

k&n open air element, just recharged it today as well. that didnt help. but i do thanks for your response!

it feels like its cutting fuel flow at throttle. but only on the highway! if im cruising in city, i never notice, but when im cruising highway with little throttle, its horrible, even when i floor it, its bad, and even in high rpm fourth, its not as bad.

i think it just gets worse with acceleration.

help please?

how would that cause quick cuts to the fuel flow?

02 sensor isnt too old either, about 3-4 months old
