Will my stock parts take a dump on me???

I'm in the process of a head/cam/intake change on my L98 and was wondering what kind of HP my stock lower end (pistons, crank, rods) can withstand. Also, I think my 700R and Aussie 9 bolt are possibly in jeopardy as well. My new combo should be good for 425 HP at the flywheel. I think I'm OK there but if and when I throw a 150 shot at it, has me concerned. All parts have 39k on them. Trans is '88 700R with a shift improver kit and a 3000 stall Vigilante. Rearend is the factory 9 bolt w/ 3.73s and c-clip eliminators. Will these parts be able to take roughly 550 HP? Any one out there running high horse SBs with stock trans and/or rearend? Thanks in advance.

I think the bottom end of the engine will be OK since it has such low miles, but you may want to take it easy on the nitrous. If the rear is a Borg Warner those are stronger than the 10-bolt so you'll probably be OK there too for awhile. I'm not quite as optimistic about the tranny, though. Do you have a good cooler on there?

The rearend is an Australian 9 bolt....not sure if its a BW or not. As for the trans.....it came factory with a trans cooler and an aluminum driveshaft. And no, it's not a 1LE...I checked that.....no such luck.

Ive' been running 150 shot of juice for a while. The stock bottom is holding up.The only problem is the trans & rear. When You start hooking the tires, your gunna break. When I put on the drag radials,I busted the trans 2 times in 3 months. Also broke some teeth on the pinion.
