E-Tec 200 cylinder heads and rocker arms?

I have just purchased a set of used E-TEC 200 cylinder heads and I need to know what rocker arms these heads are designed for. The heads have 1.45 diameter springs on them and the springs interfear with the stock rockers and the comp cams roller tipped rockers that I have. The interfearance is very small and it occurs between the top coil on the spring and the side of the pivot ball on the rocker. When I puch the spring back on the retainer to take up the clearance it no longer has interferance but when the engine is running I am sure the spring will move around enough to slightly hit the rocker. The springs and retainers are a matched set that are correctly installed, so that is not the problem. Does anyone know what rockers will give me the most rocker to valve spring clearance?

Thanks

Sounds to me like (a)your push rods are too short; and (b) you have the wrong retainers, since with the correct retainers, the top of the springs would be positively located.

What parts do you have (besides the heads)?

I have E-Tec 200 Cylinder heads on my GTA... When I built the motor, I measured valve train geometry and determined that I needed a 0.1" longer than stock pushrod (what edelbrock said, but I wasn't gonna spend all that money without checking, plus it was a good learning experience).. So that's 0.100" longer than the stock roller lifter pushrod (which is shorter than your standard hydraulic flat-tappet sbc pushrod)...

Oh, I had crane roller rockers on there for quite a while with no interference (aluminum 1.6 ratio, not the gold ones), but I went back to the stock rockers (don't shoot me.. ) because they were too noisy... Someday I'll get some comp steels.
