yeah it could be your timing, why don't you check it and see what it is set at?

ok thats probally a good idea so if my timings off that would probally mean my chain is going and is slipping so would it be worth it to replace them with a gear to gear setup or a duble chain setup. and what would be the best advance for a 350

Your timing could be off even if your chain is ok. But if it comes to the point that you know your chain is bad, stick with a replacment single or double roller. Stay away from gear driven sets because they can cause false knock that will be picked up by your knock sensor. Not to mention that they sound annoying.

have you seen those "quiet" gear drives? I think Jackson makes them. They may use angle cut gears. I wonder if they would false trigger the knock sensor?

Regardless, a double roller chain is probably good enough for a daily driver.

It depends on how much power and what rpm's your motor reaches. It may be overkill or it may be just right.

I would take a single fixed idler setup over a dual "floater" design if i were to go with a gear drive. For the street, a dual chain design will be plenty. For anything that really beats on the the valve train (high rpm) or requires rock solid timing, a gear set is ok.

Ive heard that they CAN trigger due to the harmonics the gears create. However i have heard of people running them without issues.
