Well..when I FULLY ported my heads it took me about 24 hours of work over 3 days. Better equipment like in a shop will be a bit faster..but still...not cheap.

It's impossible to predict what it will cost, because that means totally different things to different people, and it depends on what you're starting out with and what you expect to end up with.
It's like so many other things in this business, there's no fixed charge, like you put your heads in the "porting machine", put your 3 quarters in the slot, and after a while out pops a set of polished heads. I know people who would take a lawn mower blade sharpener to a head and tell you it's "fully" ported; and then I know people who will get out a buret stand and measure port volumes and match them to within a cc and flow them on a bench to within 10 CFM before they would consider turning them out as finished. I doubt you want either of those guys working on your particular heads.
You're basically going to pay by the hour. You need to find somebody whose time is productively spent while they're porting heads, and pay what they charge until they're through. Chances are that somewhere in the 4-6 hour range will yield about 90% of the possible improvement in flow on a pair of stock L98 iron heads. That should be $200-300 in most shops. So, if somebody quotes you much less than $200, you're probably getting a hack job; and if they quote you much more than $300, it's probably overkill. That assumes you're handing them a set of bare castings, any disassembly and reassembly will be extra.

It really depends on the heads. Some places you can buy heads already done. but look to spend $200-$400 depending on what you want done, and how well.
