Just want to know How do I go about depressurizing my factory a/c system. Do I need special tools?

You need a reclamation machine to do it legally.

Take it to an A/C shop; and sell them the Freon. Don't just throw it away.

After all, that stuff is what.... $35 a pound now? And your car has 3 lbs or more, if it's full.... Would you take a $100 bill out of your pocket and set fire to it?

Why are you doing this thing?

I am selling my A/C for a little extra cash. As for the R-12 I was offered 40 for all of it. not as much as I would like, but I dont want to be a tool and let it off into the air especially not whan i can get 2 Jacksons for it. No I dont ever use it not even one time and dont drive the car in the rain so I dont need A/C. Any way thanks for help.
