OIL/TEMP gauge problem

Any other reason besides being broke that my oil and temp gauge isn't working? Fuse is good, and all lights inside the gauge work.

i'd say they share a common ground, since each would have a seperate lead from the engine, and the ground isn't working.

So it could just be a bad wire, nothing big I hope.
