Did a search and didn't pull up what I was looking for. Could be I didn't search the right stuff, but oh well. Don't know if this is the right place for it either... couldn't find a forum I thought was right...

How would I go about getting another ignition key? I only got the one on my key chain, and I just make darn sure I don't lose that one right now. Its an '89 TA w/ the chip in the key. I assume I gotta go to the dealer to get another one?? Anyone had to do this, or know if thats what I have to do?

dealer can for sure, maybe a lock smith could also

 

I had a second key made from the local Pontiac dealer.
I believe the key was around $26.

 

i went to Ace hardware and ahd em made for $20 ea

 

Thanks guys. I guess I am headed to Ace which is right down the street, and if not there, then to the Pontiac dealer. I gotta do something... one slip up and I am keyless!!!
