A completely different picture comes to mind when I think of blowing an engine - like things poking out where they don't belong.

Leaking injectors can flood a cylinder, but only when the engine isn't running. To test, you have to have the injectors out of the manifold, and apply pressure - either on a bench, or still hooked up to the fuel rails and "hot wiring" the pump to stay on with the key in the "on" position.

I had a computer go crazy on me when I accidentally wrote over some AFR stuff with zero's. The motor wont do anything when the injectors are stuck wide open. If it was fuel, Id say it was a badly leaking injector, or two, that just filled up the runners with fuel while the intake valves where closed. Those injectors sure do like to leak. My friend thought there was a backup computer sustem in the wire harness because the car would continue to run even without the ecm hooked up. The oil press switch would close and turn on the pump, the ign. module would give some spark, and the leaking injectors would take over and away the motor would go.
