having trouble getting this out, HELP...
trying to get out the fitting on the fuel line here form the carb, and we cant get it to turn, only without holding the big part and it all moves, is it just stuck or is there a technique to get it out properly?

no trick, it just looks like its rusted on there really good, as 57 suggested, soak it. A can of rust penetrant would be a good idea.

Are you using using standard wrenches to take it off? It's really easy to round off the nut if you are. Grab some line wrenches. They won't tear up your fuel lines and will give you a much better grip on the nut.

"Line wrenches".
Shadetree decoder ring says "Vice Grips".

Line wrenchs look almost exactly like an open end wrench except there is an angled part at the end to add more gripping surface. The open end is smaller than on a standard open end.

to get the bloody thing out we ended up cutting the fuel line(needed a new one anyways) and taking out the big piece, hooking up two sets of vice grips, one to each part, then held one and whacked the other off the concrete floor to get it to loosen....
