runs for about 10 min, stalls and wont start for a couple hours again

I have an 87 Firebird with the 2.8L v6, it was parked for the winter and i just tried starting it. It started no problem at first. It then ran good for about 10 min and then just stalled, and wouldnt start back up again and if it did it was only for a few seconds. I let it sit for a couple hours then tried it again, it started no problem, ran for about 10 min and died again. What could be wrong with it? The MAF sensor isnt hooked up right now either.

And the MAF is disconnected because....?

Since it is, you're likely getting a constant warning lamp. If you scan for codes, you might find some clues, since there could be more codes than just the MAF errors.

before i parked it for the winter it was acting up and had the check engine light on, the only code it had was for the MAF so i disconnected it till i can get a new one. i checked the codes again and its still only the MAF

Put in a new MAF sensor. Then get back to us if the problem persists.
