Just installed the Mini Ram II intake on my 87 Z28, i set the timing at 10 degress, and it backfires once and while, and also back fires up through the intake, what should i do, do i need a new prom or somthing dealing with the computer?

Sounds like it needs more fuel. Some chip work would be a good idea. You might want to just bump the fuel pressure up a little and see if it helps.
I'd recommend leave the timing alone. Being a degree or 2 off of optimum won't cause backfiring.
