2 injs went bad?

Noticed my oil press running low at all rpms.
WB 02 reading abt 13:1 at cruise (all the sudden).
Had to enter "clear flood" mode to start warm eng after 20 mins off.
FP leaked down 20 psi in abt 3 secs, then to zero within 2 mins.
Pulled plugs and found 6 and 8 badly fuel fouled.
How could I all the sudden have 2 injs go bad?
Only thing I can figure is there must have been some crap in the fuel rail and it entered the injs and is holding them open.
I haven't open fuel system in over a few thousand miles.
Any other thoughts on this?

I'm assuming the leaking injs may have thined my oil and caused the low oil press. The specific symptoms are:
After shut-off for a few days, it now takes much longer to achieve oil press. (like 5-7 secs). Oil press not effected by eng temp, also not effected by RPM increase. Actually seemed to drop a little at highway speed compared to idle (with eng temp being constant)
I've never seen this before. Is this a symptom of thinned oil?
Oil level is full.

Thx.

Fuel contamination is one possibility. It could have been introduced with the fuel, from deteriorating parts, or even from rust/corrosion residue in the tank or an internal filter failure.

In any case, the sticking injectors could be diluting you oil, explaining the drop in pressure. Nothing will improve until you repair the injectors.

I wouldn't rule out chance completely

My brother's old cavalier had 3 injector coils that went bad within a pretty narrow time frame. Also by chance, none of them were on companion cyl's so it still ran smooth. It was just weak(er)

Maybe they were defective from the factory, and they used bad copper or solder or contacts or something in them. Or maybe he had some kind of voltage spike tear thru the system that only took out the 3 injectors.

EDIT: What kind of wb 02 are you running, and what'd it run ya? That's gonna be one of my next toys

Don't the LT1 injs have a little inlet screen on them? I can't remember for sure.

My WB-02 is a DIY (do it yourself) version. Costs abt $50 plus the sensor and wiring. WB-O2's are the coolest tuning aid ever.

Yes. And Bosch, Rochester, and Denso injectors have inlet screens as well. You'll even find them on Fords.
