Will I get beat by a civic with this combo?
Hey, I'm just looking for opinions. I,ve got the 330 hp 350 HO crate motor with vortec heads and a 9.1:1 c.r. The cam specs are: .435I, .460E, 212*I, 222*E @ .050. I have an air gap intake, 600cfm double-pumper, 1 5/8" Hedman full-length headers, Accel replacement HEI and Super coil, and MSD 8.5mm wires. I'm putting a T56 behind it as soon as I get the cash. Will this car be a dog at red lights and only good above 4,000 rpm? Or will it still make good low-end torque? Will it beat a civic light-to-light? What do you guys think?
Thanks for your opinions.

Depends on what's in the Honda. I was over at a Pro Stocker friend's house this week and he
sold one of his old Doug Nash 5 speeds to an import racer. These guys use rotary engines that develope peak HP at 14,000 RPMs.
They line launch at 9K RPM's, and do 1/4's in under 9 seconds.
They put this all in a car that weighs less than 2000 pounds with driver...
See ya at the Gaternationals!

The cam you have is pretty mild. So it will make low end grunt. The larger the numbers in the @.050 range, the higher it will start and end. You setup should beat the Civic as long as he isn't spraying alot.
Good luck!
