can my block use roller lifters

I just purchased a 4 bolt main block. the casting # is 14093638 MorTec.com has it as 87-95 350 2 or 4 bolt mains with roller OR flat tappet cam. Mine is a 4 bolt but came with a flat tappet cam. I want to know if I can use a factory roller cam in this block. It has one piece rear seal.

I don't see why not. Just get retrofit roller lifters.

if the block isn't made for the cam retainer under the cam gear and the spider for the lifters you can't use the factory roller, you'll have to go aftermarket

yep you can I have the same block in my garage it will soon be a 377.

cam retainer part# 1016-8501
lifterguides 8 req. #12550002
guide hold down#14101116

I got screwed the first time I ordered the cam retainer the guy ordered #1008-8128 which is too wide and the bolt hole wont line up. you may want to double check your block and see if it needs the wider one first but, I doubt it. also to save from fustration I had them look up the right torx screws for the retainer and got them from them.
