you need to follow a diagnostic chart for that code. Other than that you're just throwing money at it and may not fix the problem. make sure the wiring looks good and the sensor is not damaged or covered in anything like a melted plastic bag, tar, etc. Any contamination of the sensor can damage it. Code 13 means you are lean at normal operating tmeps. What do you have your fuel pressure set at? Are you running the stock injectors and fuel pump? It sounds like you need to get into a custom prom and upgrade your fuel system.

Code 13= Oxygen Sensor Circuit (Open Circuit)
Here is a trouble shooting chart, it is for the L03 305TBI but the principle is the same.

From what book are those pictures? Is there similar for L98 TPI engines?

Chiltons manual has those in it for both the tbi as well as tpi systems. Think theyre reprints from the factory service manual.

Where is your O2 located? A set of shortie headers or mans. shouldnt cause any problems with the O2, even if the motor runs cold. The exaust is going to be pretty damn hot even if the motor has a low temp t-stat. Best bet is to check the circuit between the ecm and the O2 to make sure its still intact and then buy another O2. Sounds like your present one is dead.

To GTA324,

Those are from the GM service manual and I have it for the L98 as well, do you need it. I also have a chiltons manual and these schematics and troubleshooting charts are not shown in the copy I have. If they are in it, It must be a more updated copy than the one I have. They also are not in the haynes manual I have.

I guess a GM service manual could be useful some times...
