Vacuum problem affecting idle?

Vacuum problem affecting idle?

Well, i don't know howto explain this. But there are 2 vacuum hoses on my plenum, 1 for the FPR and 1 for EGR? well, the one i think that's for the EGR goes to a 3 port ball looking thingy. Well the stem broke on me and i replaced it with a regular old vacuum diverted from an old carbed car (3 port). Was that ball thingy something special? would it cause my car to idle incorrectly without it?

If I'm guessing correctly, you must have CC.

The "ball thingy" is just a check valve for the cruise control so the vac. won't bleed off while vac. drops.

Just a regular "T" will work, but the correct one at chevy is about $5.00.

Branz,

The vacuum line to the EGR solenoid also serves the EVAP canister. Unfortunately, the source for this vacuum is at the underside of the throttle body. There are two hose bibbs on the right side of the plenum. One is for the FPR. The second is for the HVAC controls. It may route through a check valve or limiter, but can be routed directly.
