cruise control
Well I just found out my car has cruise control (yay for me) however I have never driven a car with cruise before. The cruise control controls are located on my signal light lever. There is a button on top of the lever and a switch on the side. The swich will lock if I push it to the left and will make a momentary contact if I push it to the right. The button is also a momentary contact mechanism.
Can someone explain to me how cruise works. The haynes manual failed to cover that section. Thanks

when you first push the switch to the right, this turns the cruise on. accelerate to the speed you want to cruise at. when at that speed, press the button on the end of the lever. the car will not cruise at the speed. if you want to increase your cruise speed, puch the switch to the right and holf it there. the car will start to accelerate. when you reach the speed you want to cruise at, let go of the switch.
this is the same cruise control controls that GM uses now.
