weight reduction question

Would it be safe to take off the driveshaft gaurd in order for me to shed a few more pounds?

Please tell me you are NOT talking about the torque arm! If you are thinking THAT is the driveshaft protector... then you shouldn't be removing ANYTHING from your car (except the driver)!

Why dont you remove the engine, the front wheels and the doors too. That should save a lot of weight.
