How are my oil clearances?

350, .030 over, 2bolt, balanced turned 10/10:

Mains:
1---.0015
2---.00125
3---.0015
4---.00125
5---.002

Rods:
00145-.0018

Checked with a plastigage

Looks like the rods might be a little tight?! If so what do I do about it?

I've often wondered what you are supposed to do if your clearances are off.. I mean if they are off, you probably already own all the bearings and stuff, or else you wouldn't know they are off. If you're putting everything back together, I take it everything has been machined, so what are you supposed to do now that the clearances are off? Anyone? Would that mean it's time to go back to the machine shop?

i wouldn't put a lot of faith in plastigage but you're clearances look ok. if they're off you can swap bearing shells around. as long as the cranks is standard you can buy +.001 and -.001 bearing sets to let you open or tighten the clearance a little.

Mine were similar to that, and I'm running fine, and oil pressure is good at 30 psi hot at idle.
