Oil pan question on L98

I purchased a Milodon windage tray, and found that the factory oil pan has a tray in the bottom of the oil pan. I had to cut holes in this tray because the stud bolts I used for the for the Milodon would hit it. I was wondering if I shouldn't just cut this tray out, or leave it in there with my new windage tray?

Also, does it matter if I have a stud bolt on one side of the main cap, and a regular main bolt in the other side as long as they're torqed the same?

Thanks

Most people get the right pan, that's made for use with the windage tray. You can get one from GM as the old "Z28" pan.

The stud vs. bolt thing doesn't matter, if these are the type of studs that look and work just like a bolt except that they have the extra thing to hold the tray. If it's the kind of stud that uses a nut to hold the main cap on, I wouldn't mix those with bolts.
