I had to prove that a 305 could do it. This year, I hope to be in the 11's.

Will, your car is what I want mine to be eventually...I'm just saving up for a good rebuild with a strong bottom and some world products heads. Then, it'll be ATI time.

It took a lot of time and work to get the wife’s IROC to turn the times run in the sig. 12’s are pretty easy if you can run a carb and the emissions laws are not that strict. What induction system CAN you run,, and what are you leaning towards?

I'm pretty sure I can get in to the high end of the 12's right now. If I can just get some traction I should be even better. Once the track opens I'll have time to really see, but as of now, I haven't lost a race to an LS1 yet. And yeah, it's TBI. Check my sig.

I love pissing those LS1's off

I should have mentioned that the first time I ran my car at the track (bone stock), my times were 15.90's at a whopping 82 mph. I've almost taken four seconds off since then.

Me too, 12.42 on street tires with the TTA. The mustang slowed to 12.08 after switching to a C-4 on motor but 10.97 on the juice 1.49 short time.

BadSS, please contact me about your car. We have a simular combo and I can only manage a 13.7@103mph this is with a 2.1 60' time.
I need to know what's holding me back from hitting the 12's that is my goal and I will stop when I hit that target. My car is a daily driver with an average of 40 miles a day driven.
Do you have a web page so I can read more about your wonderful car?

A little bit of friendly competition never hurts anyone. Good luck, Don.

I also have a couple of issues to resolve before I race again. Ultimately, my goal with the D1SC is to produce 15 psig boost. Currently, I'm at 8 BUT I see that I'm running lean (700mV O2) over 5 psig. So I installed the Carroll Superfueler. If you're not familiar with this setup, it adds three supplemental injectors that straddle the top of the plenum. Fuel is injected via a plate sandwiched between the throttle body and plenum (similar to a nitrous plate system). When I installed the Superfueler, I had a rude awakening -- I have clearance problems between the injector electrical connectors and my hood!!! I just ordered a cowl induction hood. This will take four weeks to fabricate since I'm having custom work done to it -- it will have an enclosed raised area so I can mount an SS style air filter box on top of the plenum. I really don't like the fact that the ATI kits place the cone-shaped air filter above the driver's side header. The "new" air filter will draw air through a sealed rectangular hole in the hood allowing the cowl area to serve as a fresh air intake -- no more engine compartment air into the supercharger. Take a look at featured car in the May 2001 issue of Super Chevy. Someone took my idea and built it already!!!

Once I get the hood, I'll have the tweak the ten setpoints on the Superfueler. Then I change the blower pulley and do it all over again. Then I'll be ready!!

Willie
