Help! Car won't start
Ok, here's he deal. I haven't been able to start my car in about a month. It died on the highway, almos like it ran out of gas.
It is getting gas, it is not getting spark. I changed all the plugs and wires and the coil. I checked the codes, and it came up with 51, bad Mem-cal. I changed that, and the code went away. Now here's no more codes, but it still won't start. What else could it be?

replaced ignition module today with a new one. No luck. Unplugged he wire going from the coil to the distributor, at the distributor and checked for spark. Nothing. My Haynes manual just says further checks must be completed by an authorized repair shop.

The pick-up coil could be it. Thats located under the breakers in the distributor. Those go bad everyonce in a while. to replace, it requires pulling the distributor, and taking the distributor itslef apart. Pick-up coils, in my experiennces, just seem to go. the car dies like it ran out of gas, with no warning at all. the car runs fine, then, it dies out and thats it. I'd put my money there. maybe you should borrow a known good distributor from somenone and give it a whirl before you tear yours all apart.

Is there anyway to test this pick up coil?
There is power going from the battery to the coil if that helps. I'm thinking of just taking it to a reputable repair shop. I know nothing of distributors.
