How about this cam?

I am building a 305 for my 89 Camaro.(I have 1000 reasons to keep the 305 so dont ask :=) ) I was looking at the LT4 production cam. My block is a roller and this looks like it would be strong plus its 1/2 the price of Comp Cams. I am also looking to use Alum. vette heads.

Thanks
Brian

It's TBI Kevin...

That should be an okay cam ONLY if you use the vette heads. With stock heads it would be overkill and most then likely slow you down.

The LT4 production cam will work fine in a 305 with stock heads. Remember its lift values are given with 1.6 rockers, so with 1.5's its smaller.

Hey Brian,

I have an LT4 production cam I took out of my motor. You can have it if you pay the shipping. It's been lying in the garage for several months while I've been porting various induction parts, so it will need to be cleaned very well (sorry, not included in the deal!). I think w/1.6's it has .476/.480 lift if this helps with valve spring concerns. I've held off on chucking it in case someone wanted it - I had a guy inquiring a while back who wasn't willing to send a measley $10 to me for shipping.

E-mail me if interested. I think we've corresponded regarding the current Accel GP (hard to remember everyone after ~250 e-mails!).

Shawn
