Car: 1988 Black Firebird
Engine: Chevy 350ci
Transmission: 700 R4
Anyone have wiring diagrams for '88 firebird?
Does anyone have or know how to obtain wiring diagrams for a 1988 firebird? I need to figure out how to bypass the oil press switch so my fuel pump will run only when the engine is running. I know that if I bypass the switch at the switch itself, the fuel pump will run continuously, even while the car is off. The same with my fan. I need to hardwire them both so they only come on when the car is running

With that switch there, the fuel pump should come on when the motor is cranking/running. IIRC it closes at a relatively low pressure so if you have an engine that has decent oil pressure it should be able to close the switch when you crank it.

If you can post the exact specs of your car (tbi/tpi, etc) someone can probably come along and post the diag. Theyre also available in the later addition chiltons manuals.
