harmonic balancer?

I was wondering if anyone could give me the proper measuerment from block face to the back side of the harmonic balancer. I'm starting to wonder weather it's fully seated against the crank, this may be part of my belt throwing issue. I know the bolt is friggin tight!! but maybe it still isn't seated all the way. Ohh ya I have a late model 1 piece main block and a scat cast 383 cank, if that would have anything to do with the proper measurments....?

thanks alot, I suspect mine would be the same distance as the v6's since I believe there the same block - 2 cylinders. I will go measure it up.

What design damper are you using? Factory style with the inertia ring pressed between the balancer and the hub? or the more solid 'fluidamper' design?

it was just a stock dampner, I got the problem fixed now. It was actually seated the whole way.
