I tried installing an edelbrock air assembly and my car stalls out every chance it gets. Doesnt wanna shift and sounds loud like a fart cannon exhaust.(but more beefier). Anyway am I suposed to hook up the hoses that went into the stock locations? 1 vacuum 1 air intake hose with heat riser thing. and the hose/tube that went into the passenger side of the air cleaner....I wanna get that edelbrock to hook up but I dont wanna be stalling every two minutes.

also I had been told I need a tps. Im gonna try to hook it up later any suggestions?

Did you plug the vacum line that went from the carb to the stock air cleaner? the heat riser one doesnt matter. I think you may have forgot to plug the vacum line that comes off the carb. What I did was cut like an inch long worth of hose, put a screw in it and put it back on the carb.

 

I tried taping it up but I dont think it held too good. Ill try it later. Ill find out around 430.
